StormPrept Terms & Conditions
StormPrept by Prept (“StormPrept,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides hurricane-shutter membership services for residential properties in Florida and any other regions we may serve in the future. Services may include, but are not limited to, installation and removal of customer-owned hurricane shutters, visual inspections, and documentation.
By enrolling in a membership, requesting a quote, or otherwise using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.
To use the Service, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years old and able to enter into binding contracts.
- You are the owner of the property or have legal authority to authorize work on the property.
- The property is located within a StormPrept service area and can be reasonably served by our crews.
StormPrept memberships are typically billed on a recurring basis (such as monthly or annually), as described during signup or in your membership agreement.
- You authorize us or our payment processor to charge your chosen payment method.
- Membership fees are generally non-refundable once service for a season has begun.
- We may update pricing for future terms with advance notice, as permitted by applicable law and your membership agreement.
If your payment method fails or your account becomes delinquent, we may suspend or cancel your membership and any upcoming services until payment is resolved.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, StormPrept provides labor-only services for hurricane shutters and related hardware that you own and provide. We do not manufacture or warrant the shutters themselves.
Typical services may include:
- Installation and removal of customer-owned hurricane shutters.
- Basic visual inspection of shutters and hardware.
- Photo documentation of work completed, where applicable.
Services do not include structural engineering, roof repairs, window replacement, or any other work not specifically described in your membership plan or work order.
StormPrept routes and schedules work based on forecast information, safety conditions, and crew availability. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to perform installations and removals within the time windows communicated to you, but we do not guarantee exact times or completion if conditions are unsafe.
Work may be paused, delayed, or cancelled due to high winds, lightning, flooding, road closures, or other conditions that, in our sole discretion or that of our crews, make it unsafe or impractical to proceed.
You are responsible for:
- Providing code-compliant, properly sized shutters and hardware for your openings.
- Ensuring shutters and hardware are in serviceable condition (not severely rusted, broken, or missing critical parts).
- Providing accurate property information, access instructions, and any gate or lockbox codes needed to complete work.
If shutters or hardware are unsafe, missing, or not reasonably installable, we may decline to install them and may still charge for the visit or a portion of it, as described in your membership agreement.
You agree to provide safe working conditions for our crews, including safe ladder access to mounting points and reasonably clear access around your home.
We may refuse or stop work if, in our judgment, conditions are unsafe, including:
- Unstable ladders or surfaces.
- Obstacles, aggressive animals, or unsafe behavior at the property.
- Weather conditions that exceed agreed working limits.
Cancellation terms for your membership will be described at signup or in a separate membership agreement. In general:
- You may cancel prior to the start of a storm season or activation of your zone, subject to any notice requirements.
- Once your zone has been activated and work has been performed, fees for the current season are typically non-refundable.
We reserve the right to cancel or not renew your membership for any reason, including non-payment, unsafe conditions, or misuse of the Service. In such cases, we will follow any refund or credit practices described in your agreement or required by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StormPrept and its owners, employees, subcontractors, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of use, loss of data, or loss of profits, arising out of or relating to the Service.
To the extent we are found liable for any direct damages, our total aggregate liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the membership or service giving rise to the claim during the twelve (12) months preceding the event.
StormPrept is not an insurance company and does not provide insurance coverage or guarantees against storm damage. Properly installed shutters may reduce risk but cannot eliminate it.
You remain responsible for carrying appropriate property, windstorm, and flood insurance and for following official evacuation and safety guidance from government agencies.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and may provide additional notice as required by law. Your continued use of the Service after any changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
