Built by people who know what hurricane season feels like.
StormPrept by Prept exists for one simple reason: Florida homeowners shouldn’t have to risk a ladder, wrestle heavy shutters, or beg for last-minute help every time a cone appears on the map.
Every year, the same scene plays out across Florida: families dragging metal panels out of garages, calling contractors who are already booked, and climbing ladders in worsening wind. It’s stressful, dangerous, and completely predictable.
We started StormPrept because we believed there had to be a better way—one that treats hurricane preparation like a scheduled service, not a last-minute scramble. We borrowed the reliability of route-based delivery, combined it with local Florida crews, and wrapped it in a simple membership that homeowners can understand.
Today, StormPrept’s model is simple: get your home on a route before the season starts, then keep you informed and protected when storms appear in the forecast.
StormPrept partners with insured, vetted subcontractor crews across Florida. We focus on the playbook—zoned routing, communication, and standards—while our partners focus on safe, efficient shutter work.
When a named storm threatens a zone, we activate that zone, plan routes around real-world traffic and access, and deploy crews with clear instructions for each address. Homeowners receive text and email updates plus photo confirmation when their shutters are installed and removed.
StormPrept coordinates labor and logistics; homeowners remain responsible for providing hurricane-rated shutters and hardware that meet local code.
Hurricanes will always be unpredictable. Your shutter plan doesn’t have to be. These are the principles we use to design and improve StormPrept every season.
