Before vs After

Life with—and without—StormPrept.

Hurricanes are stressful enough. Your shutters shouldn’t be. See the difference when your home is already on a StormPrept route.

Before
The old way of storm prep
  • Dragging heavy metal panels out of the garage at the last minute.
  • Calling every contractor in your phone while the cone shifts closer.
  • Ladders, rusted hardware, missing bolts, and dangerous rooflines.
  • Price gouging and “cash only” offers the day before landfall.
  • Family stress and scrambling instead of executing a calm plan.
After
With StormPrept on your side
  • Your home is already on a dedicated StormPrept route for the season.
  • Insured crews install shutters before landfall with scheduled windows.
  • Text updates and photo confirmation once your home is fully secured.
  • Shutters removed after the all-clear so you’re not living in the dark.
  • A predictable membership instead of storm-day negotiations.

FAQ

Common questions about StormPrept.

Here’s what Florida homeowners ask us most often before they switch from “do-it-yourself” storm prep to a StormPrept membership.

? Do I need to provide my own shutters?
Yes. StormPrept covers the labor to install and remove your existing hurricane-rated shutters and hardware. You remain responsible for providing panels or accordion systems that meet local code.
? What if a storm changes direction at the last minute?
We monitor official forecasts and activate zones based on risk and timing. If your zone is activated, crews will still install even if the cone shifts, as long as conditions and access are safe enough to work.
? Do I need to be home for installation?
In most cases, no. As long as we have safe access to shutters and hardware and any needed gate codes or lockbox instructions, crews can complete the job and send you photos when finished.
? Are your crews employees or subcontractors?
StormPrept works with insured, vetted subcontractor crews who agree to our standards, documentation requirements, and safety expectations for Florida hurricane work.
? How many storms are covered each season?
Basic and Standard memberships include one full install and one removal per season, with discounted extra visits. Premium covers unlimited installs and removals for named storms impacting your zone, subject to safety and access.
? Can I cancel my membership?
Yes. You can cancel before the start of the core hurricane season according to the terms in your agreement. Once your zone is activated and service is performed, the current season becomes non-refundable.
